Custom carpentry

Custom finish carpentry, the last trade on the job.

Trim, stairs, wood ceilings and panelling for high end homes and cottages across Muskoka, Parry Sound and Georgian Bay. High end interior finishing is the whole of what we do.

Finishing is where the house gets judged.

Nobody walks into a finished room and looks at the framing. They look at whether the casing lines up, whether the mitres are tight, whether the stair rail feels right in the hand and whether the ceiling boards run true.

That work happens at the end of a build, when the schedule is already tight and everything upstream has moved. We plan for that. We give a window we can hold, and we tell you early if anything shifts.

Cottage country adds its own problems. Wood moves in a building that gets closed up cold in February and opened warm in May, so material gets acclimatised and details get built to allow for it rather than pinned tight and left to split.

Where we work

Gravenhurst, Honey Harbour and Parry Sound.

Our finish carpentry goes into homes and cottages around Gravenhurst, Honey Harbour and Parry Sound, and across the wider Muskoka, Parry Sound and Georgian Bay area.

A great many of those are water access properties. Trim work on an island build is a materials problem before it is a carpentry problem. Everything is ordered once, staged and taken over in a planned load, because a missing box is not a run to the supplier, it is a lost day.

If you are a builder or a designer, send drawings. We are used to being the trade that has to make everyone else's tolerances disappear.
