Cottage renovations

Cottage renovations, including the ones you reach by boat.

Cabinetry and finish carpentry for cottage renovations across Muskoka, Parry Sound and Georgian Bay. A great many of them on water access properties, which is work we know how to plan.

A renovation up here runs on logistics.

On a town job a forgotten box is a run to the supplier. On a water access cottage it is a lost day, a boat, and a weather window. So the planning has to be finished before the work starts rather than solved as it goes.

We draw the millwork package first, order once, stage it, and take it over in planned loads. Cabinetry and trim are dry fitted before they travel so what lands is ready to install rather than ready to be worked out.

Old cottages come with their own surprises. Walls that are out of square by inches rather than millimetres, floors that run downhill, log walls that move with the season. Scribed, built to the room work is the only thing that survives that.

What we take on

The finishing half of a cottage renovation.

Where we work

Pointe au Baril, Honey Harbour and Bala.

We take on cottage renovations around Pointe au Baril, Honey Harbour and Bala, and across the wider Muskoka, Parry Sound and Georgian Bay area.

Water access is normal work for us rather than an exception. We know what it costs to forget something on the mainland, which finishes survive a cottage closed up cold through February, and how to sequence a job around the days you actually get.

Cottage work books by season. If you are aiming at a particular opening weekend, the earlier we hear from you the better the odds.
